Hi, Connie and Charles!
It sounds as if you're having a wonderful time in beautiful California. I've thought about you often lately and am delighted to have this method of checking up on you. May your travels continue to be relaxing and exhilirating at the same time. We'll look forward to more details when you return.
Love,
Charlyne

Hi Connie,

What a trip! Thanks for sharing the sights, sounds, smells, and cool breezes here! We would love some rain and cool air here!

The picture of the Golden Gate reminds me of the Mackinaw Bridge that connects the lower peninsula of Michigan with the upper. It celebrates it's 50th birthday this year! Special celebrations took place last weekend! It's a marvelous bridge and the span is 5 miles, I believe! Lake freighters pass under it and look like little toy boats when you are on the center span! The towns on either side of the bridge try to lure you in with their Mackinaw Island fudge or pasties (sort of a baked sandwich that the miners used to take into the mines in the U.P.)

Enjoy the rest of the trip and the wedding! Sounds like it was a refreshing journey!

Love, Irene
