Dear Connie,

WHat a beautiful time of year, here in west Michigan. The apples are ripening and the taste is marvelous! I had forgotten how wonderful apples fresh from the tree taste!

School begins next week! Bulletin boards and final touches on Ivan's classroom are the project for tomorrow!

On Monday, the day when thousands of "Michiganders" walk the entire span of the Mackinaw Bridge (5 + miles over the straits of Machinac), several of us will walk the 8 bridges over the Grand River in Grand Rapids (a total of 5 miles.) Not nearly as spectacular as the Mackinaw Bridge walk but should be beautiful as well.

Blessings to you and Charles! You both continue to be in our prayers! Thanks for sharing your "walk" with MDS with us!

Love, Irene

Wow, Connie, you have such a way with words. You undoubtedly learned more from your english classes at COHS than I did. Miss Hall would be proud of your writing skills. She was our english teacher, wasn't she? It's been so long since our high school days that some memories are fading.
