		<description>Saturday afternoon - 4 PM

Hi you three --

Very strange weather today for us -- high 50's, racing black clouds, gusty, breezy, chance of rain, last of the maple leaves dancing in the wind.

Of course much of the country (including you people in a day or two) would regard this as balmy. For us, though, it is a chance to enjoy December's cozyness.

Three days next week we'll be at one of your Pacific Ocean "Heavens," the Beachcomber Motel near the San Clemente Pier. Friday is both Susan's birthday and our 26th wedding anniversary.

We'll be thinking of you three. Is is interesting that the more I become involved in music (an early intermediate on the piano plus working my way through several texts plus lots of listening), the more I think of the role music continues to have in your lives. That is an important "push" for me as I struggle w/ memorizing pieces in the first quarter #46-51) of Bartok's Mikrokosmos. That's nice -- though maybe countered by the imaginary "pull" from an Alphie equivalent, who thinks that walks beat Bartok anytime. (We are not ready to have another dog -- lots of very strong memories of the pooch who had to leave us ayear ago last October, after 12 loving years.)

Our warmest (spiritually, etc.!!) to you three,

		<description>Dear Connie,

We have had quite an abundance of snow the past two weeks! The sun shone today for several hours! What a boost to spirits all around.

Maybe Christmas comes to us in the dark of winter to remind us who really is THE LIGHT! So we continue to prepare for Jesus' birth, the light that no darkness can overcome!

If I get the chance to do some Christmas baking, I'll think of you and would send aromas from our house to yours if it would be possible!

God's blessings to you as you embark on the steroid road, the thought that you might have puffy cheeks and big muscles, brings a smile!

With much love and Advent cheer!

<description>The knowledge of four beautiful, talented grandaughters to brighten your day, a faithful friend to keep you company on your daily commune with nature, a warm and toasty home with loving husband to come back to... and the love of your family. Who needs cookies?!
God's blessings today and the days to come.

		<description>Mom

Jon wanted me to tell you that if you would like to make Christmas cookies but can't stomach the thought of eating them all, he would help you out and consume the extras.

Ever the helpful one.

Love and Peace
